New Year's Resolutions: 2018 Edition.

Hii everyone!

New Year Resolutions. Sometimes we accomplish them, other times forget them but most important, we don't quit trying. Did I accomplish last year resolutions? I don't know. I didn't write them down. Hahaha. One thing I know for sure is that I'm not giving up. This year, I have a different plan. It involves organizing myself a lot and finally getting things done. So here's my 10 New Year's Resolutions for 2018.

  1. Drink more water. Getting this habit is difficult to me because it involves peeing a lot, which I don't like. However, I will try to make the habit again and fill up a bottle of water each morning for uni, that way, every time I see it during lecture, I take a sip.
  2. Organize myself. I have to write things down in order to remember. If you could see the notes in my phone. Total mess. Sometimes I look at them and I don't know what they were about. It's safe to say that I'm not an organized person. This has to change. I'm going to get a notebook, get all creative (which I'm definitely not but I like to think I am), build a bullet journal and hopefully get my life together. This semester at uni is going to be quite hectic and I definitely don't want to forget anything.
  3. Blog more. I've been feeling inspired a lot recently and I hope to keep it like that the entire year. I've been reading new blogs/posts daily and they keep me motivated to keep posting. Also, make some bloggers friends along the way doesn't sound bad at all.
  4. Learn how to play the Ukulele. I saw an ukulele at a music store's window when I was at Syracuse, NY last summer and got obsessed. I wanted one so bad and watching songs tutorials in YouTube didn't help but I forgot about it for a couple of months since it takes a lot of effort to learn any musical instrument and I didn't have the money to purchase one. Last month, I saved up to buy one and there it is, sitting in my closet waiting to be played.
  5. Travel around the country. I love road-trips, listening to music or a podcast while watching the road. That is one of my favorite things ever. I always mention how much I want to travel to different countries but I haven't really stopped to discover mine which is beautiful and I take it for granted. This one is a little bit more complicated since it involves money and I don't have an income since I'm a full-time student but I'll try to keep an eye to cheap tours online.
  6. Go to Electric Paradise, and maybe Barbarella. I love concerts and Festivals. These two are the main EDM events in DR and they didn't happen in 2017. I'm a huge Electronic Music fan and I enjoy it the most when my favorite songs are played through loud speakers while watching other people specially crowds singing along.  I have been to Barbarella for the past 3 editions but I have never to EP since it is in Punta Cana. Let's try to change that this year.
  7. Stop procrastinating uni work. I have to mention this one to make it official. I have a post coming up soon about how much I struggle with procrastination.
  8. Drink less Coca Cola or basically no Coca Cola at all. I've been drinking a lot of soda these past few months. It has to stop.
  9. Try to be less shy. I always add this one because it is a work in progress, baby steps seems to be the way to go but we are getting there.
  10. Last but not least. Make new friends or colleagues at uni, maybe hang out with them other than doing assignments together. This one will be very interesting and probably help me to be more comfortable around new people. Since I will be seeing the same people for quite some years, let's try to start or finish the year with some solid friendships.
Let me know if we have similar resolutions or what yours are/what you are doing to accomplish them :)

  1. What a great list! Very similar to mine actually! I'm so bad at drinking water so that one is definitely high on my list. One of my resolutions is to do more things outside of my comfort zone and say "yes" more to different experiences and opportunities. Here's to a great 2018! Good luck with your resolutions!

  2. My goals are almost the same, next year I want to try and go outside of my comfort zone more and more, whether it is trying a new food or trying to grow as a person, I want 2018 to be a year of growth. And I also want to do more travelling as well as play the ukulele. And of course take my blog to the next year, I can feel in in my bones that 2018 is going to be a good year!

  6. Oh god I REALLY need to cut down on fizzy drinks too and drink more water! Just improve the all round balance in my body really. These all sound like super achievable goals and I'm sure it'll be an enjoyable journey, especially learning the uke! :)
    Happy New Year!
