Hello friends!
I was casually looking at the YouTube trending page when I spotted the Voldemort: Origins of the Heir, unofficial fan-made movie. I saw the trailer June 2017 when it went viral and was very impressed by it. I genuinely thought it was a Voldemort movie made by Warner Bros. Turn out they had some legal issues with Warner Bros. but they made an agreement and the movie turned out to be a non-profit, non-commercial film that isn’t associated to J.K. Rowling which at least allowed them to publish it. I just finished the movie and I truly enjoyed it. It shows a different perspective of how we’ve known Lord Voldemort also known as you-know-who or should I say Tom Marvolo Riddle?
Anyway, the plot is about Tom Riddle's journey into becoming the Voldemort we knew in the films. They also introduced the other Hogwarts houses' heirs. In fact, the film was narrated by Grisha McLaggen the Heir of Godric Gryffindor.

Technically speaking the coloring on this movie is beautiful. I must mention the coloring is one of the details I always notice when watching a movie. It has a pretty nice plot twist that of course, I wasn’t expecting. They did an amazing job on the FX as well. The only thing that bother me was the lip-sync, it seemed off. I believe it was dub to English. However, that’s a minor thing. This film was funded via Kickstarter by fans from all around the world with a budget of $15,000 euro and I wish they do more in order to create a part two or a spin-off series about Voldemort. I just find his life so much interesting and intriguing. I have so many questions. We knew he wanted to become the most powerful wizard alive but what triggered him to become the most powerful evil wizard? I definitely wouldn’t mind if J. K. Rowling releases a book only about his life.
You can watch this movie on YouTube HERE. It even has subtitles. At the moment it has over 10.5M views so go add another one. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it as I did.
Overall I rate this film ★★★★☆ (4/5)
